The Writ Petition has been filed with a limited prayer to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 02.01.2017.

Ms.R.Varalakshmi, learned Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent sought eight weeks time to dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner.

In view of the limited prayer made in the Writ Petition and also taking into consideration of the submission of the learned Counsel for the respondent, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner dated 02.01.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
