Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 20.11.2017 given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for promotion as Deputy Thasildar in the existing vacancy in the 2017 panel by taking into consideration the service rendered by the petitioner to the Government and grant such other further relief. O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 20.11.2017 given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for promotion as Deputy Thasildar in the existing vacancy in the 2017 panel by taking into consideration the service rendered by the petitioner to the Government and grant such other further relief.

2. Even on an earlier occasion when the matter was posted under the same caption, it was removed at the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner on 04.10.2023 and the matter was posted on 16.11.2023 and requested for adjournment 2/4

on 17.11.2023. There is no representation for the petitioner on 17.11.2023 and hence the matter was directed to be posted on 20.11.2023 under the caption for dismissal. Today also there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
