2. This Court vide order dated 25.01.2023 in W.A.Nos.1608/2016 and 16/2017, has directed the District Collector, Chengalpattu to conduct inspection, if not already conducted and send a report to the Secretary to Government, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. On receipt of such report, the Secretary to Government, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai was directed to consider the report of the District Collector, Chengalpattu and pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the report from the District Collector, Chengalpattu and file a report before this Court on or before 2nd week of June 2023.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that, as per the order of this Court, the District Collector, Chengalpattu has submitted a report before the Secretary to Government, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai and the same is pending before the Government for passing orders. Hence, he seeks eight weeks time to pass orders by the Government.
