This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent herein to register a case on the complaint sent by the petitioner to the respondents on 29.10.2015 by speed post.

2. The petitioner is residing at Door No.17, Bank Colony, 3rd Street, Madhavaram, Chennai. She married one Mohan in the year 1996 and they are having one son and one daughter, aged 18 and 16 years respectively. The petitioner's husband developed illegal intimacy with another women. Hence, both of them are living separately. On the date of occurrence i.e., on 28.10.2015, she went to her husband's house and saw him along with a women and when she questioned about the same, she was brutally assaulted by her husband. Hence, she lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 29.10.2015. But till date, no action was taken. Hence, the present petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the submission made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the respondent police along with a copy of this order within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same the respondent police is directed to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law as early as possible.

5.
