Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to cancel the patta No.87 vide an order No.2026/0103/18/0058440 dated 24.03.2026 in respect of survey No.31/1A1 issued in favour of 7th and 8th respondent. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 27.03.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have made a representation dated 27.03.2026 before the respondents to cancel the patta No.87 vide an order No.2026/0103/18/0058440 dated 24.03.2026 in respect of survey No.31/1A1, issued in favour of respondents 7 & 8. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.M.Senthamizh Selvan, learned Government's Counsel takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.Dominic S.David, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents 5 & 6 and submitted that the

petitioners' representation dated 27.03.2026 will be considered within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the fourth respondent to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 27.03.2026, after issuing due notice to the petitioners as well as respondents 7 & 8 and other aggrieved persons, if any, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 10.07.2026.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
