Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents and their sub ordinate officials to maintain status quo as on the date of reference issued in G.O.(D).No.435 dated 19.08.2013 and not to alter the conditions of service of the 14 Workmen whose names are shown in the table in paragraph 22 of this affidavit as on the date of reference adversely in any manner till the reference and the dispute in I.D.No.137 of 2013 on the file of the Labour Court, Coimbatore is adjudicated and without getting prior permission from the Labour Court, Coimbatore in I.D.No.137 of 2013 as per Section 33(1)(a) of the I.D. Act, award costs.

This Writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents and their Subordinate officials to maintain status quo as on the date of reference issued in G.O.(D).No.435 dated 19.08.2013 and not to alter the conditions of service of the 14 Workmen as on the date of reference adversely in any manner till the reference and the dispute in I.D.No.137 of 2013 on the file of the Labour Court, Coimbatore is adjudicated and without getting prior permission from the Labour Court, Coimbatore in I.D.No.137 of 2013 as per Section 33(1)(a) of the I.D. Act, award costs. 2/4
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that, during the pendency of this Writ petition, the Labour Court, Coimbatore passed an award in I.D.No.137 of 2013 in favour of the petitioner union.
3. In view of the above facts, this Court is of the view that, no further adjudication is necessary in this Writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
