Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to consider the case of the petitioners for the allotment of the house site as done in the case of other 54 beneficiaries in whose favour allotment is made by the respondents in S.No.252 & 270 in Vellure Village and Post, Ariyalur Taluk and District and allot the house site to the petitioners.

Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned.
2. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if this Court passes an order directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner, dated 5.11.2012, within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the 1st respondent is directed to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner, dated 5.11.2012, if it had not been disposed of, till date, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as the other persons concerned, if any. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 5.11.2012, to the 1st respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.
