By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would claim that he has passed X Standard and his father while working as a Sanitary Worker at Velankanni Town Panchayat, died in harness and the petitioner came to be appointed on

compassionate ground on 15.3.2007, as a Sanitary Worker. The further claim of the petitioner is that since he has passed X Standard, he is fully qualified to be appointed to the post of Junior Assistant and in this regard, he has submitted a representation dated 1.9.2015, and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, would submit that in the light of G.O.Ms.No.206, Municipal Administration & Water Supply (Town Panchayat - I) Department, dated 2.11.1995, the petitioner is entitled to get appointment to the post of Junior Assistant and hence, prays for appropriate orders. 4.The Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents, also.

5.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in his representation, or in this writ petition, directs the second respondent to consider his representation dated 1.9.2015, in accordance with law and pass orders thereon within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
