Respondent Prayer: This writ Petition filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the respondent to hold enquiry by the District Judge, Cuddalore the circumstances leading the illegal arrest on 06.06.2018 detention and torture in the hands of policemen, Ramanatham Police Station by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 11.06.2018 in accordance with law to secure the ends of justice.

O R D E R

It is the grievance of the petitioner that third respondent police under the guise of enquiry arrested the petitioner illegally and had beaten him mercilessly, as a result of which the petitioner sustained serious injuries and taking treatment till date. Hence he filed a complaint before the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore to take action against the person concerned. However no action was taken on the petitioner's complainant. Hence he filed a petition under section 482 of Cr.P.C. in Crl.O.P.No.3955 of 2018, wherein this Court on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

26.02.2018 directed the third respondent herein to consider the petitioner's complaint and conduct investigation in accordance with law. However, no action was taken against the officials concerned till date, which leads to filing of the present petition.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this Court may issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2018 and pass orders to which the learned Government Advocate has no objection.

3. In view of the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the second respondent may not be justified in keeping the representation pending indefinitely.

4. In the result the respondents are directed are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2018 on its own merits, and pass orders. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above observations this Crl.O.P. stands disposed of accordingly.
