O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) The petitioner, wife of the convict prisoner, lodged in Central Prison, Coimbatore seeks a mandamus directing the respondents to grant 6 days emergency leave for the convict.

2. The reason is that their son aged 1 1/2 years is suffering from respiratory illness and his health condition demands the attention of both the parents. The required medical report/certificates are annexed to the Writ affidavit and Mr.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice for the respondents will forward the same to the immediate attention of the prison authorities in order that the application for emergency leave on medical grounds will be considered expeditiously and disposed in accordance with the extant Rules, within two days (48 hours) from today.

3. This Writ Petition is disposed as above.
