O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the case on the petitioner's complaint dated 29.10.2015.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint stating that the marriage between the petitioner and one Arulselvam took place in 1999. Due to the wedlock, a female child was born on 11.3.2000 and a male child was born on 19.05.2002. The petitioner's husband and his brother Valanar Arokkiyadass had been continuously torturing the petitioner without any reason. In the year 2011, the petitioner was thrown out of the house. When the petitioner was prepared to go to her parent's house, she was prevented to do so. The petitioner's mother died on 03.05.2013, but her husband prevented her to attend the funeral function. The petitioner was continuously tortured by her husband. Hence, she gave a complaint on 29.10.2015 with the respondent police. Since no action was taken so far, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the marriage of the petitioner took place in 1999. It appears that there was family dispute between the petitioner and her husband continuously. He further submitted that the jurisdictional police is only Guindy Police.

Without going into the merits of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Guindy, Chennai. On receipt of the said complaint, the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Guindy, Chennai, is directed to conduct the enquiry and dispose of the same in accordance with law as early as possible.
