..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to provide the information under the Right to Information Act - 2005 regarding details of grant of approval and other particulars details in relation to the fourth respondent school based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.06.2019, within a time-frame as deem fit and proper by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein has sought for certain information in his application made to the District Educational Officer, Vadalur/2nd respondent herein on 12.06.2019 under the RTI Act.

2. The District Educational Officer, Vadalur/2nd respondent had initially directed the petitioner to approach the Chief Education Officer/1st respondent, Cuddalore for redressing his grievances. However through the proceedings dated 08.09.2020, the Chief Education Officer, Cuddalore had redirected the District Educational Officer, Vadalur/2nd respondent to provide the information sought by the petitioner in his application. It is at this stage, the petitioner herein has filed the present writ petition.

3. The prayer in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to provide the information on the application made by the petitioner. Since the provisions of the RTI Act, provides the manner in which such an application is to be dealt with, it would not be proper for this Court to issue directions for supply of information. However, if the concerned Public Information Officer is directed to pass appropriate orders on the basis of the petitioner's application, the ends of justice would be secured.

4. In the light of the above observations, the 2nd respondent herein is called upon to pass final orders on the petitioner's application dated 12.06.2019, in the light of the proceedings of Chief Education Officer, Cuddalore dated 08.09.2020, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
