ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

Mr.C.Kathiravan learned Standing Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the claims of the petitioner for promotion as Lecturer by passing orders on his representation dated 16.10.2019 within the stipulated time. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 16.10.2019 on merits within a stipulated time frame.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed before it.

Though the petitioner had prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner either in their representation or in this writ petition, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.10.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
