O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of investigation.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he married one G.R.Saranya. Subsequently, due to misunderstanding between them the petitioner filed divorce petition before Principal Family Court, Chennai in OP.No.3707 of 2014. Since G.R.Saranya was continuously absent before the said Court, an exparte divorce was granted on 09.04.2015. The said exparte divorce order was also published in Dina Bhoomi paper on 23.04.2015. Thereafter, a false complaint was lodged by the said Saranya as against this petitioner, his father, mother and sister and now under the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

guise of enquiry, the respondent police are calling and harassing the petitioner and his family members. Hence, the present petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in view of the complaint given, the petitioner is called for enquiry and there is no intention on the part of the respondent police to harass the petitioner and his family members.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecution, this Court is constrained to pass the following order:- (i) The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry.

(ii) The respondent police is directed to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law, without harassing the petitioner and his family members.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
