and W.M.P.Nos.27058 & 27059 of 2018 V.BHAVANI SUBBAROYAN.J, This Court vide order dated 08.06.2022 has directed the Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Cuddalore, to take up the trial in Special Case No.02 of 2018 pending on the file of the said Court and complete the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. The Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Cuddalore, has now sought for extension of time by letter dated 24.03.2023 to dispose of the above case stating that the copy of the order of this Court has been received on 06.09.2022. On the side of the prosecution, there are 16 witnesses were cited. Out of that, 13 witnesses PW1 to PW13 were examined and 24 Exhibits Ex.P1 to P24 were marked and 5 material object P.M.O.1 to P.M.O.5 were marked.

Now the case is pending for the examination of accused U/s. 313 of Cr.P.C. As per the order of this Court in W.P.No.23159 of 2018 and W.M.P.Nos.27058 & 27059 of 2018 dated 12.08.2022, 6 months time was granted to dispose of the case. The said 6 months time was completed on 08.03.2023. But he is unable to dispose the case within the time. Hence, seeks for further period of 3 months to dispose the case.

2. In view of the above request, this Court is inclined to grant time till 31.08.2023 to dispose of the case.

3. Accordingly, time is extended up to 31.08.2023 to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.2 of 2018.

4. The Registry is directed to issue copy of this order to the Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Cuddalore.
