ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 406 & 420 of IPC in Crime No.230 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner/A2 had borrowed a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- from the complainant for the purpose of her brother's daughter marriage and she had also borrowed money from various other persons by way of chit and the same was not repaid. A1 is none other than the petitioner's husband. The petitioner/A2 did not repay the amount to the complainant.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no way connected with the offence and she has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that A1 and A2 are husband and wife and hence the petitioner may be granted anticipatory bail.

5. It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner had cheated number of persons by way of chit to the tune of Rs.11,65,000/- and the amount is also not recovered. As of now there are 11 complaints against the petitioner and the investigation is pending.

6. Considering the facts of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
