O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to provide protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and her husband Jegan, S/o.Ganesan based on the petitioner representation dated 23.11.2015.

2. The petitioner and one Jegan had a love affair for four years and they decided to get married but the petitioner's parents opposed the proposal of the said marriage. The petitioner is aged 19 years and she eloped with the said Jegan and on 23.11.2015, they got married and their marriage was also registered on the same day. Now, they received threat from the petitioner's parents. Hence, the petitioner gave a representation before the respondent police on 23.11.2015 seeking police protection but the same was not considered so far. Hence, the present petition.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court directs the petitioner to give a fresh representation along with a copy of this order to the respondent police within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the respondent police is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders as early as possible.

4. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
