ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue Ration Card to him on the application dated 19.10.2015.

2. The petitioner appearing in person submitted that in spite of his representation dated 19.10.2015, for the issuance of Ration Card, the second respondent has not issued the same yet.

3. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents submitted that the second respondent may be directed to pass orders on the petitioner's application, in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.10.2015 for issuance of Ration Card and pass orders, in accordance with law, if the application is otherwise in order, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
