ORDER
The present Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus seeking to forbear the respondents from granting stone quarry licence to the 7th respondent in Survey No. 309/1, 309/6, total extent of Hec. 4.78.0, patta No.824 situated in Murugambakkam Village, Maduranthagam Taluk, Chengalpattu District on the basis of the petitioners' representation dated 29.04.2024.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6 would submit that the representation of the petitioners dated 29.04.2024 seeking to forbear the respondents 1 to 6 from granting stone quarry licence to the 7th respondent has been forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent. He would further submit that only after hearing the petitioners and the 7th respondent, due orders would be passed on the representation of the petitioners.
3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special 3/6
Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6 and since limited prayer has been sought for in this writ petition, a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after hearing all interested parties.
