PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act praying to punish the respondent for having committed contempt of the order of this Hon'ble Court in Review Petition No.125 of 2018 in A.S.No.146 of 2011 passed on 27.01.2020.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J) This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for having committed contempt of the order of this Hon'ble Court in Review Petition No.125 of 2018 in A.S.No.146 of 2011 passed on 27.01.2020. 2.It is brought to the notice of this Court that a Special Leave Petition has been filed before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India against the Order passed by this Court and an Order has been passed on 23.11.2020 in the said Petition. The relevant portion of the said Order reads as follows: "We make it clear that this order shall in no manner stay the payment of compensation to the claimants as may be entitled as per the decree. However, the direction of the High Court to pay 6% compound interest shall remain stayed." Hence, it is seen that the Petitioner is entitled to the deposited amount except 6% of the Compound Interest. Further, Mr.M.Sriram, Learned Counsel appearing for the First Respondent submitted that amount has been deposited.

3.There shall be a direction to the trial Court to permit the petitioner and other claimants to withdraw the amount in deposit within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 4.With the above directions, this Contempt Petition is closed.
