For Petitioner : Mr.P.Rajendran For Respondent : Ms.Akila Rajendran Government Advocate

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to rectify the error in the online Patta Nos.1008 and 1007 in respect of the petitioner's properties in S.No.232/7 (62.5 Ares) and S.No.232/4 (15 Ares), No.85, Puliyur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District and issue the same as per the Manual Revenue Records in respect of the said property within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

2.

The learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.

Since, no adverse order has been passed against the private respondent, notice to the 2nd respondent is dispensed with.

4.

The case of the petitioner is that, he claims to be the owner of the property comprised in S.No.232/7 (62.5 Ares), situated at No.85, Puliyur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District and the same was purchased by him from one Janakiammal and others through their Power Agent M.Sakthivel, vide registered Sale Deed dated 05.04.1999 in Document No.1841/1999 and he has also purchased the property in S.No.232/4 (15 Ares), situated at No.85, Puliyur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District from one C.Munusamy Naidu through his Power Agent D.Govindaraj, vide registered Sale Deed dated 05.04.1999 in Document No.1842/1999. 5.

Meanwhile, the petitioner was issued with Patta Nos.1008 and 1007 in respect of the above said properties by the Revenue Authorities. However, the petitioner approached the 2nd respondent for Land Ownership Certificate for availing free electricity connection. Though the name of the petitioner has been rightly reflected in online Patta No.1008, the Survey Number has been wrongly shown as 196/4A11. Likewise, the above mentioned properties in S.No.232/7 and S.No.232/4 have been included in the online Patta No.1007, which stands in the name of one Manivannan, S/o.Chakkarapani. Whileso, the petitioner made a representation dated 23.02.2022 before the 1st respondent to correct the said error in the online Patta Nos.1008 and 1007 and correct the same as per the Manual Revenue Records, however, till date, no orders have been passed on the same. Hence, this Writ petition.

6.

Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2022 on merits and rectify the error in the online Patta Nos.1008 and 1007 and correct the same as per the Manual Revenue Records as expeditiously as possible.

7.

The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent has no serious objection for said order being passed and she fairly conceded that the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2022 will be considered and

appropriate orders will be passed within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court. .

8.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.02.2022 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the 2nd respondent.

9.

This Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
