O R D E R
The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to register the petitioner's complaint dated 16.05.2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

In the affidavit accompanying this petition, it is stated that on 06.05.2014, the petitioner went to his father-inlaw's house and claimed his wife's share in the property. On that day, the younger sister of the petitioner's wife quarrelled with the petitioner and others. In the melee, one Balaji and two others attacked the petitioner and caused injuries to the petitioner and consequently, he was taken to Government Hospital, Senthamangalam for treatment. In this regard, the petitioner made a complaint before the respondent police on the same day and requested to take appropriate action against the said Balaji and others. The respondent herein received the petitioner's complaint and asked Balaji and others to appear for enquiry. The said Balaji and others appeared for enquiry with the help of some rowdy elements and threatened the petitioner to withdraw the complaint. in blank papers and caused life threat to the petitioner in the premises of the respondent. Subsequently, the petitioner made a detailed complaint to the respondent and other authorities on 16.05.2014 through Registered Post. After receipt of a copy of the complaint, the Superintendent of Police, Namakkal forwarded the petitioner's complaint to the respondent herein and directed to take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint. Since no action was taken by the respondent police on the said complaint, having no other alternative, the petitioner has come up with the present Criminal Original Petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to register his complaint. 3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's complaint has been closed, as compromise has been entered between the parties. He also produced the Closure Report before this Court. 5.
Taking note of the said submissions, as the petitioner's complaint has been closed, no further orders are necessary in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
