ORDER
This Writ Petition is of the year 2021.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.05.2021 and thus, consider directing various Municipalities and Panchayats in the State of Tamil Nadu to grant remission/waiver of the payment of Property Tax payable by Members of Petitioner's Association Schools situate within their jurisdiction for the years 2020 and 2021.
3. The petitioner Society is a registered Society under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1975). 2/5

The prayer of the petitioner appears to be for remission/waiver of property tax under the provisions of the various enactments applicable to local bodies on account of the closure of the Schools during the period when the Country was under continuous and intermittent lockdown due to outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
5. Writ Petitions with similar prayers were entertained and disposed by directing the authorities to consider the request/representation of the petitioners for remission.
6. I therefore find no reasons to take a different view in this Writ Petition.
7. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 31.05.2021 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with the provisions of the applicable Acts within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. Needless to state, before passing such orders, the petitioner may be 3/5
given an intimation and shall be heard.
9. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
