The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.10 of 2014 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Namakkal at the earliest.

2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against her son Kathiravan stating that he has forged the signature of the petitioner and misappropriated the amount from the account of the petitioner. Based on the said complaint, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.10 of 2014 for the offences under sections 420, 468, 471 and 420 r/w.511 of IPC on 07.01.2014. But till date there is no progress in the investigation of the said case. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to investigate the case in Crime https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.10 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
