Cr.No.541/2021 Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records in Cr.M.P.No.18/2021 dated 14.06.2021 passed by the District Collector and District Magistrate, Ariyalur District, Ariyalur quash the same and to produce the body of the detenu Ragupathi son of Rajavel, aged 31 years before this Hon'ble Court who is now detained at Central Prison, Tiruchirapalli, in pursuance of the aforesaid order under Act 14/82 branding the detenu as Bootlegger and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Cr.M.P.No.18/2021, dated 14.06.2021, detaining her son as "BOOTLEGGER" under Section 3(1) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3428, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 03.08.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
