ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in P.R.C.No.15 of 2023 pending trial on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore at Chennai on the ground that the parties had compromised.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up, the petitioner/accused, the respondent/defacto complainant and the victim girl are present before this Court and have been identified by the Special Superintendent of Police,

3. The victim girl submitted that no such incident had occurred as alleged by her originally. She had also filed an affidavit to that effect.

4. In view of the above circumstances, I find no purpose would be achieved if the trial in P.R.C.No.15 of 2023 were to be continued. Hence, the proceedings in P.R.C.No.15 of 2023 pending trial on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore at Chennai is 2/5

hereby quashed.
