O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to give police protection to conduct auspicious function in continuation of Kumbabhishekam which is to be held on 30.05.2024 and 31.05.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondent, notice to the private respondent/R2 is dispensed with.

4. This Court vide order dated 14.03.2024 in W.P.No.6925 of 2024 had already directed the first respondent herein to grant police protection and to ensure that the Kumbabhishekam is conducted peacefully without giving raise to any law and order problem.

5. Now the present writ petition has been filed seeking police protection to conduct auspicious function in continuation of Kumbabhishekam which is to be held on 30.05.2024 and 31.05.2024.

6. Since the festival sought to be conducted on 30.05.2024 and 31.05.2024 is the continuation of Kumbabishekam festival, the first respondent is directed to provide necessary police protection even on the abovesaid dates.

7. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
