PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ Mandamus directing the respondents to provide police protection to the Petitioner's temple Kumbabishekam scheduled to be held on 19.05.2024 namely Arulmigu Sree Iyyanarappan situated at Kurichi Village, Bhavani Taluk, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2024.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ Mandamus directing the respondents to provide police protection to the Petitioner's temple Kumbabishekam scheduled to be held on 19.05.2024 namely Arulmigu Sree Iyyanarappan situated at Kurichi Village, bhavani Taluk, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since there is no adverse order passed against the respondents 4 to 8, notice to the respondents 4 to 8 is dispensed with.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also considering the relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 16.05.2024.

5. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
