ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for extension of time to execute the sureties.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that crime no.7 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent police has been registered against the petitioners for the alleged offences under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. The petitioners had earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.6405 of 2026 seeking directions to the Special Court for Trial of Cases under SC/ST (PoA) Act, Vellore to accept the surrender of the petitioners and to consider their bail petition on the same day. This court vide order dated 12.03.

2026 disposed of the said petition directing the special court to consider the petitioners' bail application on the same day of their surrender and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and the petitioners were also directed to surrender within a period of fifteen days. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners are unable to execute the sureties within the time stipulated by this court and hence, the present petition is filed seeking extension of time.

3.Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2 has no objection for the grant of extension of time. 4.In the light of the above submissions and in view of the fact that the 2/4
