Seeking leave to sue the respondents/defendants 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33, 35 to 38, the applicant/plaintiff has come up with this application.
2. The applicant is the plaintiff in the suit filed for infringement of copyright.
3. The learned counsel for the applicant would submit that applicant is a reputed production house and film studio involved in the business of production, acquisition, co-production, promotion, marketing and distribution of various cinematographic films / motion pictures and audio-visual content in various Indian languages, in multiple formats worldwide. It is further submitted that the suit is instituted on account of reasonably apprehended acts of infringement by the respondents and the entire cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court except the fact that some of the respondents are having office outside the jurisdiction of this Court.
4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the applicant and also considering the averments made in the plaint, leave is granted. 03.02.2017 rgr
