With the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. Heard Mr.K.Ravi Ananthapadmanaban, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
3. This writ petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the application dated 2/8/2015 of the petitioner for the grant of a 3 phase electricity connection upon the approval to be given by the first respondent to petitioner's water unit and pass orders on such application without having recourse to the pendency of the writ petition as regards the challenge to G.O.Ms.No.142 dated 23/7/2014 within the time frame.
4. Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that No Objection Certificate is required from the Pollution Control Board.
5. The submission of the learned Standing Counsel cannot be gone into at this stage, since the petitioner's application is still pending.
6. In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 2/8/2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
