Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal submitted by the petitioner dated 21.07.2022 pertaining to property situated at Adambakkam Village, Alandur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in S.R.No.264 & 127, measuring an extent of 2.6960.0 hectare sq meter. ORDER
Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for R1 to R3. In light of the order that is now proposed to be passed and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, no notice is thought necessary for the private parties arrayed as R4 to R6.

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing R1 being Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration to dispose appeal filed on 21.07.2022. The appeal pertains to the property at Adambakkam Village, Alandur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in S.R.No.264 & 127, admeasuring an extent of 2.6960.0 hectare sq meter (property / property in question).

Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Government Advocate, on instructions received would submit that R1 has sought a report in the matter from the Settlement Officer arrayed as R2. He states that a report has been sought as early as on 20.01.2023 and upon receipt thereof, R1 will proceed with the appeal expeditiously. This is recorded.

Report, once received, will be furnished to the petitioner as well as to the private respondents. Notice will then be issued to all private parties arrayed in this writ petition and the appeal will be disposed in accordance with law. The entirety of the exercise as aforesaid will be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
