..Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration to declare that by applying the policy in G.O.Ms.No.124 dated 15.05.2008 passed in connected with the Public Works Department to the Corporation of Chennai, the petitioner is deemed to have completed more than 10 years in the Corporation of Chennai in the posts of Technical Assistant and Junior Engineer and hence eligible for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer as per the Chennai Corporation Engineering Service Rules, 1969 dealing with the post of Assistant Executive Engineers and consequently to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for the 50 posts of Assistant Executive Engineers and promote him as Assistant Executive Engineers forthwith.

When the matter is taken up today for hearing, Mrs.Nalini Chidambaram, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the issue raised in this writ petition will be covered by the order to be passed by the second respondent in the representation submitted by the petitioner in W.P.No.19573 of 2016 wherein this Court has directed the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner and others within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.
2. Mr.G.Anantharangan, the learned Standing Counsel, who took notice on behalf of the respondent-Corporation of Chennai also would submit that the order that is going to be passed in the representation submitted by the petitioner in W.P.No.19573 of 2016 will cover the issue raised in this writ petition.
3. In view of the above submission made on either side, no separate order or direction has to be issued to the respondents for considering the claim of the petitioner.
4. Accordingly, in view of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.19573 of 2016 dated 10.06.2016, this writ petition is disposed of.
No costs.
Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
