O R D E R

This petition has been filed to issue a suitable direction to the respondent, not to harass the petitioner or his family members at the behest of Meenakshi, the petitioner's wife or her family members.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's wife, Meenakshi, has lodged a complaint against the petitioner and his family members with the respondent police for dowry harassment. The respondent police, under the guise of enquiry, is frequently calling the petitioner and harassing him and his family members.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that to avoid the enquiry, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is constrained to pass the following order:- (i) The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry.

(ii) The respondent police is directed to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law, without harassing the petitioner and his family members.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
