Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2015 for allotment of one medical college seats to the petitioner's daughter instead of surrendering the unfilled ESIC medical college seat to the Government under the eligible criteria pass.

By consent of both parties, the matter is taken up for final disposal.

Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2015 for allotment of one medical college seat to the petitioner's daughter instead of surrendering the unfilled ESIC medical college seat to the Government under the eligible criteria pass

3. The petitioner made a representation dated 25.08.2015 to the second respondent seeking allotment of one seat for his daughter. In the said representation, the petitioner has stated that the employees of the petitioner are covered under the ESI scheme and the petitioner is paying the contribution for their welfare. Based upon the same, the petitioner sought for one seat instead of handing over to the college authorities by surrendering them. As the said request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for in the writ petition, particularly, that a representation dated 25.08.2015 has been made by the petitioner to the second respondent, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
