Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2017 and thereby direct the respondents to extend the period of monthly installment either 30 months or R.5,00,000/- per month in respect of payment of remaining balance amount of allotment towards the Plot No.C1, TNHB, Phase-1, Thirupattur, Vellore District to an extent of 12,209 sq.ft. or 1134.20 sq.m which was allotted in the name of the petitioner.

The petitioner seeks for the following relief: To issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2017 and thereby direct the respondents to extend the period of monthly installment either 30 months or R.5,00,000/- per month in respect of payment of remaining balance amount of allotment towards the Plot No.C1, TNHB, Phase-1, Thirupattur, Vellore District to an extent of 12,209 sq.ft. or 1134.20 sq.m, which was allotted in the name of the petitioner.
2.After notice, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Housing Board, based on instructions submitted that the very allotment issued against the petitioner was cancelled as early as on 15.04.2016. The learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.L.Chandrasekar submitted that no such order was communicated to the petitioner so far. The learned counsel for the Housing Board is directed to furnish a copy of the said communication to the petitioner immediately. The petitioner is given liberty to challenge the said order in the manner known to law before the appropriate forum, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the said order to be communicated by the Housing Board. Till such time, the respondent Housing Board is directed to maintain status quo as on today. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
