ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(C) r/w 22(C) and 29(1) of NDPS Act in connection with the case in Crime No.897 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, along with the other accused, was found in illegal possession of 11.880 grams of Ecstasy. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court and sought for bail. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would reiterate the prosecution case and has filed a counter affidavit and submitted that there are seven previous cases pending against the petitioner. Page No.2 of 4

5.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.Though the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that the petitioner was arrested on 11.01.2024, the learned Government Advocate has filed counter affidavit and submitted that the petitioner was arrayed as A1 and was found in possession of 11.880 grams of Ecstasy tablets. As the contraband seized from the accused was commercial quantity, the petitioner is unable to overcome the requirement of Section 37 of NDPS Act. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
