This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police to register a case on a complaint given by the petitioner dated 30.09.2014 in C.No.3092/COP/Visitors/2015 to the 1st respondent herein who in turn forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent for investigation against one Dr.Kadirvel and his son Sivanand and to investigate the same.

The case of the petitioner is that on 13.4.2015 at about 4.45 p.m., when the petitioner was coming out of Egmore Court, a person, sent by the counter petitioner Kadirvel, threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, he lodged a complaint with the first respondent and the same was forwarded to the second respondent in C.No.3092/COP/Visitors/2015, but till date no action was taken on the said complaint.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the year 1998, the petitioner has given a complaint as against the counter petitioner. Subsequently, a counter complaint has been registered as against this petitioner. Thus, the dispute is continuously going on between the petitioner and the counter petitioner. The present complaint has been given on 30.09.2015 only in respect of the threat made by the counter petitioner.
4. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

In view of the submission made on either side, this Court directs the 2nd respondent, to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 30.09.2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law.
6. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
