ORDER
(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.
(2) The writ petitioner had given an application through online on 25.01.2021 seeking patta with respect to a building which his father had purchased bearing Old Door No.2/20, New Door No.111, Dr.Ambedkar Salai, Mohana Mudali Thottam, Vyasarpadi, Chennai, measuring to an extent of 2560 sq.ft., by way of a Sale Deed bearing Document No.393/1976 dated 16.03.1976 registered in the office of the Sub Registrar, Pursawalkam.
(3) The Government had subsequently acquired 1080 sq.ft., of land by G.O.Ms.No.190/2008 leaving 1480 sq.ft., of land. The petitioner had applied for patta on 25.01.2021. A Settlement Deed had also been executed by his father vide Document No.4589/2014 dated 27.10.2014 again registered in the Sub Registrar office, at Purusawalkam.
(4) If the online registration dated 25.01.2021 had not been returned for
compliances, then the 2nd respondent may consider the said application, and at any rate, give a reply to the petitioner with respect to either grant or denial of patta and if there is denial, give necessary reasons for the same. Such exercise should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Additionally, the petitioner herein may also enclose a copy of this order and also urge the 1st respondent to pass requisite orders within a period of twelve weeks.
