ORDER

This petition is to quash the FIR in Crime No.29 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent herein for the offences under Sections 354-C, 354-D and 506(II) IPC and Sections 66-E and 67-A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2.Today, when the matter was called, the learned counsel for the petitioners and the second respondent submitted that parties have arrived at a settlement and the second respondent has decided to withdraw the allegations in the FIR and prayed for quashing of the final report on the basis of the joint memorandum of compromise dated 02.05.2023. 3.Both the parties are present today and have signed the joint memorandum of compromise along with their learned counsel. The said joint memorandum of compromise is taken on record. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, there would be no useful purpose in keeping the FIR in Crime No.29 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent herein pending. Hence, the impugned FIR is quashed. 2/5
