The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the first respondent to award appropriate marks for Teaching Experience to the writ petitioner.

2.The first respondent has filed a counter affidavit by stating that the Teaching Experience given for acquiring the prescribed qualification at the relevant point of time for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor would be considered for awarding of weightage marks. The petitioner was not in possession of requisite qualification at the relevant point of time. As per the corrigendum her teaching experience rendered with effect from 07.07.2003 could not be considered for awarding of weightage marks. She has completed her Ph.D., degree on 16.12.2011 and as such, she is entitled for awarding of weightage marks with effect from 17.12.2011 only. The weightage marks already awarded by the certificate Verification Board is in order.

3.Thus, it is made clear that the entire marks shall be granted to the petitioner only with effect from 17.12.2011. In this view of the matter no further adjudication is required on the grounds raised in this Writ Petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed. sd/- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub Assistant Registrar rpa To 1 The Chairman The Teacher Recruitment Board 4th Floor E.V.K. Sampath Building DPI Campus, College Road Chennai 6
