By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.Heard Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner seeks for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal Ref.No.Na.Ka.No.29822/2013/J2 dated 02.12.2013. 4.According to the petitioner, the lands in S.F.Nos. 41/1, 41/3 situate at Idipalli Village was wrongly classified as 'Vari Porambok' in the Revenue Records and prior to UDR, the above lands were classified as patta lands and stood in the name of his father. Hence, he submitted a representation to the second respondent for rectifying the mistake. However, the second respondent rejected his request by proceedings dated 01.08.2013. Hence, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the the first respondent. Though the appeal has been acknowledged by the first respondent vide acknowledgement dated 02.12.2013, till date no order has been passed.

Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, first respondent is directed to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 02.12.2013 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the other persons who are likely to be affected, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
