Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of the Mandamus, directing the respondents to publish the final select list for direct recruitment to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade-II (Post Code 2119) under Tamil Nadu Transport Subordinate Services based on the selection conducted as per the Notification No.24/2012 dated 25.06.2012 and final mark list published by the 3rd Respondent Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission dated 06.03.2015 and to issue order of appointment to the petitioners to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade-II by considering the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 17.08.2015 within a time frame to be fixed by this court.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the selection and appointment to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector Gr.II is put to challenge in W.P.No.8710 of 2015 etc., batch and that though no interim orders were passed restraining the respondents from giving selection and appointment orders to the successful candidates, the respondents 3 and 4 are reluctant to proceed further in the matter and hence, the petitioners are constrained to file this writ petition for appropriate relief.

3. This court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Subbiah, the learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent 1 and 2 and Miss. C.N.G.Niraimathi, the learned counsel, who accepts notice for the respondents 3 and 4, as well, on the above.

4. Taking into consideration of the limited scope of the prayer sought for and without going into merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this directs the respondents 3 & 4 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.08.2015 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
