This criminal revision case has been filed challenging the judgment dated 21.01.2019 made in C.A. No. 20 of 2018 by the II Additional District and Sessions Court, Salem and to set aside the same.

2.When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the respondent produced an affidavit from the complainant/petitioner in and by which the complainant has agreed to drop all further proceedings against the petitioner and other accused. 3.The said affidavit is taken on record.

4.In that view of the matter, the offence for which the petitioner was found guilty, is treated as compounded. Consequent to the compounding, the revision stands allowed and the revision petitioner is acquitted of the offence for which he was found guilty by the Trial Court in STC No. 662 of 2015, which was affirmed by the Lower Appellate Court in C.A. No. 20 of 2018. Fine amount, if any, paid by the revision petitioner, is directed to be refunded to him.
