ORDER
The petitioner's mother, while serving as Sewing Mistress in the third respondent school, died on 31.8.2007, leaving behind the petitioner, his younger brother and his father as the legal heirs. As his father was not employed and his brother was also studying in a school at the relevant point of time, an application seeking appointment on compassionate ground was given on 30.3.2009 to the third respondent. The Headmaster of the Government High School for Girls, T.Nagar, Chennai forwarded the same to the District Educational Officer, Chennai South, who https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
also in turn forwarded the petitioner's application to the first respondent on 16.7.2013. Since all the information were not furnished, the first respondent informed the second respondent, who in turn called upon the petitioner to submit the income certificate from the Tahsildar mentioning the status of the family members. Thereafter, a fresh representation was given to the second respondent after obtaining the certificate from the Tahsildar on 3.8.2017. But till date, the said application is pending. In the meanwhile, the petitioner is also getting overaged. At this stage, the petitioner has been advised to approach this Court.
2. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents sought for eight weeks time to consider the petitioner's representation.

Accordingly, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
