Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider his representation dated 18.09.2017 seeking for issuance of legal heir certificate for his deceased grand father. According to the petitioner, he is the only legal heir for him.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to conduct enquiry and pass orders on the petitioner's request on merits and in accordance with law, also after giving due opportunity of hearing to the other claimants, if any. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same, within a period https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
