By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner is the son of J.P.Krishnaraj, who died in harness on 26.9.1996 while working as Village Administrative Officer under the control of the 1st respondent. When the mother of the petitioner has submitted an application dated 02.02.1999 seeking employment assistance to the petitioner on compassionate grounds, she was advised to move the matter after the petitioner completes his SSLC. Accordingly, the petitioner after completing SSLC submitted an application dated 15.09.2002 seeking employment assistance on compassionate grounds. But, on account of ban order with regard to fresh recruitments, his application was not considered and kept pending. Thereafter, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2nd respondent by his letter dated 08.08.2007 called upon the petitioner to furnish all necessary documents and the petitioner acting upon the same, furnished all necessary details.
3. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that no order on his application for compassionate appointment has been passed and therefore, he has no other go except to approach this court by way of this writ petition for appropriate relief.
4. Heard the submission of Mr.S.M.Subramaniam, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, the learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, and also perused the records carefully.
5. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, in the light of the above facts and circumstances of the case, without going into merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, this court directs the 1st respondent to consider the application/representation of the petitioner dated 14.01.2015 for employment assistance on compassionate grounds on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
