By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner joined the services under the 2nd respondent as Assistant Inspector of Sericulture on 16.06.1986 and on completion of 10 years of service, he was granted selection grade of pay on 17.06.1996 and on completion of 20 years of service, he was given special grade of pay on 17.06.2006 and the petitioner has been put in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade pay of Rs.4300/-. The grievance now expressed by the petitioner is that in terms of G.O.No.234 and G.O.Ms.No.44, Finance [Pay Cell] Department dated 08.11.2010 and 18.12.2014 respectively, he is entitled to get Grade pay of Rs.5400/-. In fact, the claim of the juniors were also considered and positive orders came to be passed and in this regard the petitioner submitted a representation on 03.03.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 08.06.2015 and 16.07.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner herein.
