The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406 and 120(B) of I.P.C. r/w. Section 5 of Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial establishment) Act, 1997, in Crime No.7 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner had already been granted Anticipatory Bail with the condition to deposit a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- and an application to modify the said condition has been filed in which the Court below has increased the amount from Rs.2,00,000/- to Rs.3,00,000/-. Without complying the condition, the petitioner has preferred the present petition before this Court.

3. In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to entertain this petition seeking anticipatory bail. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.

4. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 09.05.2024 vum K.KUMARESH BABU, J.
