Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records relating to the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 17.05.2022 in C.M.P.No.19 of 2022 and direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenue Karthik S/o. Rajendran (now detained at Central Prison, Trichirapalli) before this Cour and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Cr.MP No.19 of 2022 dated 17.05.2022, detaining his husband as "Goondas" under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenue has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3957, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) department, dated 01.07.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the 2/5

Government Order.
